Speed and Strength

Monday 13 May

A short hard session in the park today - anticipating a long slow run tomorrow. I started with 1500m slow run, then running drills. I like these https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6H8WLfyavWk. 6x 20m of those to warm up - I never do the B-skip one - can't seem to make it sufficiently different from the others! Then 400m in below 1m15s, slow jog back to start and on the way do 5 pull-ups, 20 sit ups, 5 deep squats and 40 bounces on my toes. Then do the 400m, pull ups, sit ups, squats and bounces combination a further four times. Then the running drills again and a 1500m slow jog to cool down. By the end of that I'm pretty much cooked!
