It's the final countdown - nuhnuh nuuh nuuuh.

Today I have been mostly being humbled. So many kind words, well wishing, donations, HUGE donations! We're over £5k on the fundraising and I've lost track of how many people have wished me well. Thank you to everyone for your positive vibes that are still landing as I type! Don't mind admitting that by around half past four it was all getting a bit much and I needed a cuddle from the kids to keep from melting completely!

I'd better do it now hadn't I!

Final prep tonight was a serious carb loading pasta session with Dad, J and Emma (thank you Claire for running the kids this evening).

Thank you to Suzanna from Living Words who not only sent me a lovely card today but also called to say thank you for what I'm doing. Of course, that's all wrong - I'M thankful, as are many, many people for the work that she and her colleagues and the team at Hythe Dementia Awareness Forum do. Giving people with dementia a voice, a platform, and a place to meet and get support - we are eternally grateful for the amazing work you are doing day in, day out.

The photo below from tonight shows me looking quite gaunt I think - I'm surprised that's me (channelling pure Postlethwaite), but I guess 18 months of training will do that to you! Just hope it was enough.

Four hours kip and the hard work begins.
