Getting back on it

And here we are, a new term at school for the kids - with the added fun for me of taking on the role of chair of our school PTA! A few things to do then!


Running wise it's been a good week. Wednesday was a speedy 5k with a 1500m warm down. Thursday got out early and put 40k in the tank. Tried to do it without fuelling during the run, which didn't work and I ran out of steam at about 30k. But, I didn't throw in the towel, stopped, refuelled and carried on. It was tough from 30-33 or so, but then the energy started coming on again and I finished the run pretty comfortably.


A quick stretch out for a couple of ks on Friday to stop the stiffness creeping in and ultra training is back on. What will I do this week I wonder... some big ones for sure...
