Drifting ain't good

June 5th

I'm behind on the blog! I've been for four runs since I last posted and I'm feeling bad for not keeping it up. So, getting back in the saddle.

May 30th I went for a 10k run that did very little for me. I didn't have a clear plan as to what I was aiming for a just sort of drifted through some vaguely quicker work, some pull ups etc. but it just showed me how important it is to have a plan before setting off!

June 3rd was a weird one... Dad had a funny reaction to a wasp sting, ending up in A&E with the swelling. It meant he was away from Mum for most of Monday in the end and he was naturally worried about her (as she was about him). As he couldn't tell when he was going to get home I popped down there after Claire got back to hand over with the kids. Everything was fine in the end, and Mum really didn't need me, but we worry because we love her! I took the opportunity to take a quick night run along the beach - nice to hear the waves.

June 4th I dashed up to Bradenham near High Wycombe for a client assignment. After a good day with the team I managed a quick 5k through the woods at the back of the estate - wonderful running, beautiful setting.

Today I managed something similar just before jumping in the car and heading back to London. It's supposed to be a bit cooler tomorrow - am feeling ambitious...
